Mr. Gerald B. O’Keefe was selected to the Senior Executive Service in May 2009. He is dual-hatted as the Deputy Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Army and the Executive Director, U.S. Army Resources and Programs Agency. As the Deputy Administrative Assistant, Mr. O’Keefe is the principal advisor to the Administrative Assistant. As the Executive Director, Resources and Programs Agency, he oversees the budgeting and execution of more than $10 billion annually in support of Headquarters, Department of the Army organizations and Armywide centrally managed accounts. He also provides human resources, equal employment advisory services, and special programs support for Headquarters organizations and activities.
Before this assignment, Mr. O’Keefe served as the Deputy G-3/5 for Strategy and Concepts (G-5), Headquarters, U.S. Army Materiel Command. As the Deputy, he was responsible for strategic planning; concept development and analysis; force design and integration; and life-cycle management and technology support and integration for nearly 60,000 military, government civilian, and contractor personnel in support of command’s mission to provide sustainment support of warfighters and military materiel worldwide.
